Peak Book Review 2026/06/26

This was a book that had a very creative topic. Mountain climbing. I know that a lot of people like to climb steep cliffs for fun, but I still don’t understand why you would risk your life doing so.

Peak loves climbing. Once, he got arrested for climbing a skyscraper in New York city. After getting arrested, he is given a choice: go to a youth detention center or move to Asia to live with his estranged, mountaineering father. His father wants Peak to become the youngest person ever to reach the summit of Mount Everest, but soon Peak realizes his father's motives might be entirely selfish.

On his way, he makes lots of friends, and watches a lot of people die. 

This book is quite fun, but for people like me who don’t understand the motives and the hearts of those who climb, you can’t truly understand this book, even if you read it completely. 

Overall, this was fun to read.
