Tales from Shakespeare Book Review 2026/07/01

The tales from Shakespeare is a collection of Shakespeare’s best writings. A famous example is A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Hamlet, and more.

If I shrink this into a sentence, I think it would be “A collection of William Shakespeare's finest works.” I think the authors of this collection really wanted to show the world how old English still had pros and cons, and a famous example of who really used it effectively. (Shakespeare.)

If I had the chance to make a collection of old English works that aren't Shakespeare’s, ‘cause I think Shakespeare is seen too often, used and seen too often, and I think it would help other people if other styles of old English were more popular.

I think that it overall was a good idea to publish Shakespeare’s works, but I think that Shakespeare’s works are too common and popularized. I think the excitement of reading this was deeply lowered by the fact that I had already read and understood most of the books in this collection.

However, I do think that some people still don’t know Shakespeare, and can’t get access to his difficult plays made easier to read. I agree with that choice, but at the same time, was bored by that decision.

I think that if this wasn’t Shakespeare’s collection, less people would read it, but for the people who did, very informational and mind opening, to move from a famous and overused story to unknown and unique ideas.
