TOEFL Getting Ready Poem

Music issued from the island’s coast,
Seemingly alone in the dark sea,
Lived a man, old as a ghost,
Who yearned to be free.
His tales were woven with ardent flair,
In shadows where the starlight gleamed,
Each word a spark in the misty air,
To craft the world he dreamed.
The island’s heart held a radiant glow,
Its secrets bound in a crystal’s frame,
With ingenuity, he’d let it grow,
And etch his boundless name.
Yet waves would whisper a solemn plea,
Their rhythm fierce, yet strangely kind,
His stories, compelling, set his soul free,
To roam where dreams entwined.
