I read some articles related to the subject of Apple Intelligence. Why? Because I bought an iPad. And when it was released, the world was split into 2 opinions.
Number 1. “Wow! That’s so cool! What could I use it for?”
Number 2. “When will this be forgotten like when Siri was introduced? When will the glitches start to impact our lives?”
Yeah. Personally, I was excited, because it looked so good, and it seemed more useful with ChatGPT in it. So finally Siri would be of some use. It has access to almost every Apple app, and can be ordered to send a message or schedule an appointment. Anyway, why do some people think badly of Apple Intelligence? I believe they don’t think there would be much of an upgrade, and how better could it be? They probably have no use for it anyway.
Until people were realizing that AI could do some idiotic things. In Google, if you searched “how many rocks should I react per day?” it would show: “1 or 2.” Wow. It also said that some scientists actually recommended it. The only reason why any creatures would eat rocks is when they only ate leaves and they needed to digest it. And that idea was literally crushed when the dinosaurs went extinct. (So did that idea) So it basically became a famous meme for months. Then when I tried it, it was fixed.
But when Apple actually first released it, there were no idiotic bugs like “eat 1 or 2 rocks per day” and it worked fine. Then people started actually releasing it wasn’t that much of a use. Besides scheduling appointments, there were lots of features that they never got to use, such as translating languages in the middle of a call. Cool, but useless. Why would you even have a call with someone who speaks a different language? Also, the Genmoji feature. It’s absolutely USELESS. It takes a bit of time, and makes absolute trash emojis. Just use the original ones Apple made. (I made sure to delete the app as soon as I tried it)
And when I got my iPad, I was excited to try it. And when I did, I was disappointed. There’s no point in scheduling meetings on my iPad, because I use a phone for that, not an iPad. I do not call people on my iPad, and the only real use for it is to ask questions, and that just gives me articles and websites I have to read, not the AI summarizing and only giving me the answers to it. We also have to ask the AI to use ChatGPT for specific reasons, which is so annoying. Why can’t we just automatically use ChatGPT on this thing?
So the articles I read really let me understand the pro and con of Apple Intelligence, the public view of it, and basically every feature of the AI as well. But Apple, the whole “built for Apple Intelligence” advertising is not the way to go. The only way to use it is to brag to your friends how the edge of your iPad glows in blue, magenta, and yellow light. (Which I really like) So keep it up! Apple has the right design and color scheme, but some of the abilities on the Apple Intelligence are really diminishing, and Apple Intelligence has potential. Just need more ways to equip it in our everyday lives.
