The Dark Prophecy Book Review 2025/06/29

This is the best Trials of Apollo book so far. I know it’s the second book, but it’s still really good with lots of haikus and humor. My favorite part is when Apollo tricked 3 blemmyaes at the Cave of Trophonius. It was really enjoyable for me because it was the first time when Apollo felt actually useful. He tricked one blemmyae to blow herself up, had a ceiling crumple onto another one (that wasn’t him) and had 3 karpos to destroy the last one. (wasn’t him) But the important part is that somehow he held off 3 blemmyaes from blowing up himself and Meg. That was really cool. Another part I liked is when Apollo drank the 2 rivers (River Lethe, River Mnemosyne.) He acted like he drank 5 bottles of vodka after that, but he still did something, and it was hilarious how he forgot a lot, then woozy, insane, crazy, mad, deranged, unstable, nutty, lunatic, etc. I loved every part of this book.
