I loved this book so much! It relates to Percy Jackson, which is one of my favorite all-time books, and the unique context of this book was amazing. If Percy Jackson focuses on Greek Mythology, this series has Greek and Roman mixed together, which was interesting. For example, Jason was called Son of Jupiter by Boreas in his ice lair. I also enjoyed how the author made references to Percy Jackson in the book, showing that the Heroes of Olympus was after the Percy Jackson series. For example, there are parts where it shows how the Gods made a promise to always claim their children by the age of 13, which Percy Jackson made the gods promise after he just saved Mount Olympus, secretly disguised as the 600th floor of the Empire State Building. Speaking of that, I really enjoyed the whole concept of the Mist. It was really cool to imagine magic living among us, disguised like perfectly ordinary things. There are other books showing the Gods disguised into normal people, such as Who Let the Gods Out? Which I read when I was in Year 4, and it was incredibly iconic, but now I see there are lots of books that are similar to that theme.

13/10! 😆 This book is honestly a banger, and I will read all the series. Maybe I’ll read the Trials of Apollo and the House of Hades, assuming that they are all connected together. I highly recommend this book to people who want a good fantasy novel they can enjoy!
