The Son of Neptune Book Review 2025/05/26

This book was an incredibly fun book to read! I especially enjoyed the part when Percy drank the glue gun blood randomly and somehow he survived. Like how is he even alive? That’s because Gaia had big plans for Percy and she couldn’t let Percy die yet so she made one of her servants die instead of Percy. Because of the magical traits of Gorgon blood, the servant died, and Percy’s memory started to come back. However, the main thing that I enjoy about the series is how the connection of Percy Jackson relates to this book. There’s a new fresh set of characters that I really enjoy and yet there’s always the classical and old-fashioned Percy Jackson’s friends. I also like the concept of how Percy Jackson went to Camp Jupiter, and how Jason Greece went to camp half-blood and the amazing switch between the two camps. It was also intriguing how the writer made the setting so that Romans hated the Greeks and they always fought together. I just finished this book and now I’m moving onto the third book and spoiler alert. There is a thing called the mark of Athena and I am really interested to see what it is and how it turns out. Anyway, I enjoyed how the first book was all about Jason, Grace, and Leo and Piper and the second book was about Percy Jackson, Frank and Hazel. It was also interesting. How because Greek gods and Roman gods are the same but they have different names. Their personality is also sort of different which I do not understand because there’s the same person with a different name. I enjoyed the way the other campers at camp Jupiter Marvel at Percy‘s abilities. Even though Frank is technically a descendant of Poseidon, he does not have the powers that Percy has. However, I feel that the writer has made Frank a little bit overpowered as he can literally turn into anything. He wants it if he just focuses on it and knows a lot about it. For example, an elephant because he always takes care of it when he is in Camp Jupiter. It was also funny how the Giants think that they are immortal and basically unstoppable but they end up getting destroyed by the trio and their brains. They might not have the muscle compared to the giant, but they do have brawn. I’m really excited how for some reason Leo was controlled to attack the camp of Jupiter with his flying boat and how Annabeth and he both had the same cold feeling inside them, and whether or not that is because of Gaia and her evil scheme.

1000/10!!!!

This has to be the best series I’ve ever read so far and I am so interested in the last book because it might have some sort of grand finale battle, and I’m really interested to see how the writer will always make the main characters win.

I loved this book so much! It relates to Percy Jackson, which is one of my favorite all-time books, and the unique context of this book...
